Here’s my review for Learning Construct 2, by Aryadi-Subagio.
As the founder/admin of the unofficial Construct 2 Devs group on Facebook, I’ve provided Construct 2 advice to over a thousand game devs worldwide. I also teach Construct 2 via in-person training sessions, blog posts, and video tutorials online. Aryadi Subagio’s new book is a welcome addition to the sea of resources available for learning Construct 2.
As of March 2015, I’m still in the process of reading the book and trying out the projects in the downloadable samples. I found the writing style really easy to digest, very suitable for any beginner. There is a lot of detail on layouts, objects and their properties/behaviors, event sheets and their events.
